Gamecocks Recruiting Update

The Gamecocks sit at # 22 i n recruiting and look to move up. There are some studs left on their board. Jadevon Clowney being the #1 prospect in the country, is the highest rated target. It is my feeling he will eventually sign with the home team.

My sources are confirming although Clowney enjoyed himself on his visit to AL, he did not commit. In my opinion S.C. is still in front , but not by much. The highly talented DE out of Rockhill would be a great addition to the S.C. defense. I believe that is where he will end up. Gamecock fans can only pray at this time.

USC's baseball is one win away from the 2010 college world series. The Gamecocks have a solid squad. Two very good starting pitchers and a nice bench.They also play very good defense and can swing the bat. The Gamecocks defeated their instate foe Coastal Carolina 4-3yesterday. Game two is set to start in minutes. Updates through out. The Game will also be on ESPN. Go Gamecocks Lets do this. Ray Tanner is the truth. And this team is really good.

Mathew Rihn looks to be, going back to Cali Cali, Ray Tanner thinks so. Tanner said,"he made a bad mistake."

Casey Rihn has been dismissed from the South Carolina baseball team, Gamecocks coach Ray Tanner said Monday.

Rihn was arrested early Sunday morning in Five Points by Columbia police on charges of public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Tanner made the decision to drop the backup second baseman from La Habra, Calif., who had hit .321 in limited playing time this season, after meeting with him Sunday.

Tanner called the transfer from Santa Ana Junior College a quality person and a strong student, but he believed a standard needs to be in place for the program.

“He made a bad decision, and you’re responsible for your decision,” Tanner said. “There are penalties. There are consequences.”

He called the decision not to take Rihn to the SEC Tournament and not renew the player’s scholarship a difficult one.

“I don’t like being the tough guy,” Tanner said. “It’s just the right thing to do.”

I would like to add to my earlier statement, STAY AWAY FROM FIVE POINTS.

Don,t be surprised if Devon goes pro. He is under size, but his speed is unmatched. He gets high marks in every aspect of the game accept one. He can not defend in the post. With more and more NBA teams playing zone this may not matter as much. Archie also could go, his size is a plus. They are both great players. It also works in their favor that 2 Gamecocks are still playing in the playoffs Balkman and Kinsey. Who thought Balkman would go in the first round? Sports are like stocks there are trends, and the Gamecocks brand is up.

USC Baseball player arrested sat. night, guess where he was at. Everyone is right 5 points is correct. When will these players start going to the Vista. Find older friends with houses off campus. Five points is a ghetto trap. Stay away!
Mathew Rihn an in fielder, apparently was banging on the cops car so they kicked his ass and put him in jail. Standard procedure.
USC has yet to comment. The only thing I want to hear is all athletes are barred from five points for the rest of the year. The students should also stay away if they like college, breathing, freedom, their drivers license, how their nose looks, the windows in their car, virginity, or self respect.

Ajiboye busted in drug deal

Suspended USC defensive tackle Ladi Ajiboye was arrested, field booked and released last month after Richland County Sheriff's Department narcoticss investigators said they observed Ajiboye participate in a drug deal in Columbia.
Ajiboye, a sophomore from Riverdale, Ga., is charged with simple possession of marijuanaa, according to court records.
Ajiboye, who has started 22 games his first two seasons at USC, has not attended any of the Gamecocks' first four spring practices. USC coach Steve Spurrier said this week Ajiboye was suspended indefinitely for "team reasons," adding coaches would "see how it turns out a week or two from now."
According to the incident report, shortly after midnight on Feb. 21 in downtown Columbia, investigators witnessed Ajiboye passed something to an unknown person.

After Ajiboye returned to a car driven by USC's offensive lineman Terrence Campbell, sheriff's personnel followed the 2004 Ford Crown Victoria and pulled it over after Campbell failed to signal for a turn, authorities said.
They found evidence of marijuana use, and five grams of pot, which Ajiboye admitted was his, the report stated.
"Our narcotic agents witnessed a drug transaction," sheriff's department spokesman Chris Cowan said. "They saw him get into the car. They made the stop. He was arrested."
Campbell, a redshirt junior who started nine games at guard last season, was not charged in the incident.
Ajiboye has not commented on the incident.
Ajiboye missed practice time last August after breaking his right hand while working as a bouncer, but returned to play in every game last season. He finished with 22 tackles, including a season-high five stops in a loss at Vanderbilt.
This another example of Gamecock players doing stupid things. Someone needs to teach these young men that they are not regular students. They are well known and with fame comes responsibility.
